CloseThe ancient Hawaiians brought ulu, aka breadfruit tree to the Hawaiian islands. Considered a staple food, it also played a role in the culture and spiritual life of the Hawaiians. Inspired by the beautiful ulu tree, we have designed a block print to honor that history.
Artisans in India hand carve our island inspired designs onto wood, then stamp the fabric, this is known as block printing. From start to finish, it takes several days to create a single summer blanket. Even the striped trim is printed by hand. Our signature hand printed design is sandwiched between 2 layers of fine cotton creating the softest and lightest blanket.
